Romi, the designer of Muir, Waves of Grain, Ice Queen, Verdigris, and so many other pretty patterns, is giving away a copy of her Bluebird pattern! Isn’t it gorgeous?

Anyhow, she’s also running some sort of sale which I am totally ignoring as I am BROKE, but go check it out!

As for designing, I am desiging a knit SOMETHING that I hope will be Knitty.com worthy. It is possible, yes? So I need testers. I need someone to use sport weight yarn, about 250-300 yards, someone to use fingering weight yarn, about 400-500 yards (375 will probably be fine too! :P), and someone to use laceweight yarn, I have no idea how many yards. Like, anywhere from 400-1600? lol

I am knitting the prototype in Chewy Spaghetti sport yarn, one of my prizes from Sheri at The Loopy Ewe. I need to take a picture of the yarn cake, the colours play sooooo prettily! Anyhow, I am knitting it up and I LOVE it. 🙂

So if you are interested test knitting the pattern for me (I’d REALLY be happy if it could be written, tested, and submitted to Knitty by Dec. 15, but I’ll not hold my breath!), email me at Secret Agent Knits at yahoo dot com or ping me on Twitter (@SecretAgentFibr) and we’ll talk! Being able to take pictures is a plus, but not a requirement. 🙂

I think Multnomah is going viral. I really do.

Sheri knit one. Actually, she knit two. And Emma is knitting one.

I’ve actually seen it elsewhere, but I never bookmark, so you’ll (and by you I mean the spider who is my only reader, if you can say a robot reads) have to take my word for it!

But I want to make one, so I need to finish up some other WIPs. Mebbe it can be a reward knit? (I’m behind with college work, so can’t knit for me right now. Booo.) Too bad I’m sick right now, or I would totally be finishing up a few. I don’t want to embed the germs in the yarn. Weird, huh?

It seems that Stash & Burn is running a Beyond the Sock contest! LOL! They uploaded theirs 10 days after I started mine. I haven’t listened to the episode yet, but I suggest ya’ll take a look!

And no, I don’t *really* think Jenny and Nichole copied me. S’far as I know, they don’t even know this blog exists! But LOL!

Just as a reminder: Enter the Not Just Socks contest!

Even though it seems that most of my readers are crocheters, I figured I’d give everyone a heads-up about a giveaway for knitting needles. (more…)

The past few days haven’t been so awesome! First, on Thursday I discovered a dreadful error in my Jane Austen Lace Scarf. It’s very pretty, so I am majorly disappointed in having to send it to the Frog Pond. Here’s a picture taken before the disaster:

JA Scarf

Isn’t it pretty? The shiny round things are pinheads, because I couldn’t keep it from curling up. 🙂

Then I have this hat I am making for one of my brothers. I promised these hats last year for Thanksgiving, and this is only the second of four! *headdesk* Anyhow, don’t blame me for the colour, that was Alden’s choice! lol

Alden's Hat

I made this for my new little sister. However, Gianna’s head is far too small for this hat! It should fit her next winter, though!

My aunt recently had a baby, so I am making a blanket for baby Sophie. 🙂 My own design, too!

A gerbil:

And that sock. Gah. This was taken before I noticed my error in chart reading. I ripped back to the ribbing, and started again. I repidly caught up, and I had about twice as much done, but THAT DOG wrecked said progress. At this point I don’t have the heart for fixing it. It is hibernating.

So much for Seasons of Lace, eh?

Don’t forget to spread the word about the contest!
